The Turks and Caicos Islands are world renowned for their year-round fishing opportunities but the months of November through March are especially plentiful. Wahoo, Black Fin Tuna, Grouper, Snapper, Bonefish and many more are in their high fishing season during these months, but it has been an especially terrific season for landing some beautiful Mahi Mahi.
What are Mahi Mahi?
Mahi Mahi are a relatively large fish and are also known by the name Dorado or Dolphin Fish (no relation to dolphins). An average fish weighs in between 15 and 30 pounds and Mahi Mahi are known as prized fish for eating because their mild flavour delights even the most sensitive palates. They have a tender and flaky texture making them an ideal fish to bake, grill, broil, or pan fry. When you are out fishing with our crew, make sure to ask them to help you clean and fillet it for you once you land one in your boat!
