PROVIDENCIALES SHOPPING IN TURKS AND CAICOS

Heading to Turks and Caicos on vacation? Bring your passport, family and friends, sense of adventure, and WALLET! Here in Provo, you can shop ‘til you drop. With a plethora of clothing boutiques, art galleries, souvenir shops, and jewelry/luxury stores at various price points, there is truly something for everyone. What’s more? Duty-free shopping is available for your convenience at the Providenciales International Airport (PLS). This airport is home to Jai’s which offers top-tier jewelry and luxury goods. It is also home to several stores carrying alcohol and tobacco products. So be sure to stock up on our local beer Turk’s Head or Bambarra Rum known as “the spirit of the Turks and Caicos.” Check out our remaining Providenciales shopping favorites outside of the airport.

Regent Village

In the heart of Grace Bay, the Regent Village and adjacent Saltmills Plaza combined form the upscale retail on Providenciales. Many Grace Bay resorts are within easy walking distance of these two complexes so if you’re staying nearby, this is an easy trek! Here, you’ll find furniture, gifts and souvenirs, cards, beer & spirits, real estate offices, jewelry, cigars, a hair salon and more. You’ll find some locally-made items at Impressions or West Indie Boutique. If you need a little break in between the stores, you’ll also find Blu Bar & Lounge where you can toast to your trip! 

The Saltmills Plaza

At The Saltmills you can try some tantalizing sushi at Yoshi’s, appreciate the arts at Anna’s Art Gallery, or rent a bike for cruising around town at Caicos Cyclery. Need a good book to read while lounging around one of Turks and Caicos’ Best Beaches? Check out the Unicorn Bookstore! Kids bored in the hotel room? Check out The Game Lab, offering the best in family video gaming sales and services through TCI. Heading on one of our private deep sea fishing, reef bottom fishing, or snorkeling excursions? Check out Blue Surf Shop where you can purchase some beach apparel and fishing equipment like Quicksilver, Billabong, and Oneill. If you plan on snorkeling, don’t forget the reef-safe biodegradable sunscreen!

JSquared Designs

JSquared Designs can be found in many local shops on Providenciales and at Grace Bay. Enjoy beautiful sterling silver jewelry with unique and beautiful designs that are sure to give you some Caribbean flair. These collections are lovingly inspired by the beauty of the island. You can even get a necklace with JoJo the Dolphin, on it! For those, who aren’t aware, JoJo is a unique Atlantic Bottlenose dolphin that has been living and playing in the shallow waters since 1980. 

TCI Cultural Craft Market

No Providenciales shopping trip is complete without a stop at the TCI Cultural Craft Market. Located next to Beaches Turks & Caicos resort, right on the beach, you’ll find a big yellow building. Here, you will have your pick of various locally made items and souvenirs for you to bring back home. Check out the eye-catching basketry, beachwear, Haitian metal works, tie-dyed T-shirts and works of art on display.

Alverna’s Craft Market

Providenciales shopping isn’t always easy on the wallet. However, Alverna’s Craft Market, a long-running souvenir market found in Grace Bay offers up some locally made goods at reasonable prices. This colorful market offers both locally made goods as well as goods imported. Be on the look out for wood carvings, woven bags, doll crafts, conch shell jewelry, baskets, t-shirts and even local candies. The various vendors display their goods in tiny huts and what could be more authentically Caribbean than that?!

Shops of Ports of Call

Shops of Ports of Call is a retail complex connected to the Ports of Call Resort. Bring the whole family to this pirate-themed shopping complex and check out Making Waves, a working studio and art gallery. After taking a look around enjoy some Tex-Mex cuisine at the Skull Rock Cantina offering both indoor and al fresco seating.

Graceway Supermarkets

If you plan on renting a home stay such as an AirBNB, you can go grocery shopping at one of the Graceway supermarkets. The Graceway IGA is centrally located on Providenciales and is the largest  supermarket in Turks and Caicos. You will find a full selection of grocery and alcohol, and this store also offers prepared food ready to go and an onsite coffee shop. PRO TIP: If you’re looking for the freshest seafood in Provo, you have to check out Provo Seafood specifically. Take it from us… we KNOW fish! The day’s catch is typically brought in late afternoon. Conch, snapper, grouper, and lobster (within season) are typically available.

MRVL Boutique

At MRVL Boutique, you’ll find leading skincare products, chic fashion, jewelry, and gifts here. You’ll find this boutique in the heart of Grace Bay at One Season plaza. You may see MRVL Spa around town, the leading spa, skincare, and wellness center on the island. Yes, the two are related!

The Wine Cellar

Located on Leeward Highway in central Providenciales, check out the largest liquor store on the island. You’ll find a wide range of both international and local options, including the best selection of wines in the country. 

Flavors of the Turks and Caicos

This boutique retail shop specializes in food and drink products that represent or are made in TCI. Take the taste of the island home with you, the most flavorful souvenir! From the hot sauces made with locally grown scotch bonnet peppers, to the rum cakes, jams, and teas made with Bambarra Rum, there’s a lot to explore here. Some of the spices here, would go perfectly with our recommended Mahi Mahi fish tacos recipe.
